Halloween Festivities...finally!

Happy Halloween! I love halloween, i just love everything about it. The leaves the costumes, the smell of pumpkin guts, watching scary movies, and halloween parties. This year I hosted a Halloween party for my friends. It was a lot of fun. Every year at our halloween party we play the annual potato rolling contest. If you have never played you should, it's so funny

We carved pumpkins at the Woodward's house with a group of friends. I just love carving pumpkins and ...I love the smell of pumpkins too.

Christmas in October?

For Christmas last year my parents gave my family a cruise to the Southern Carribean. Since there were 14 of us that went, it took a lot of scheduling and planning to finally figure out a time we could all go. So...10 months later and here we are enjoying our Christmas present. We flew to Puerto Rico and stayed the night.





The next morning we went to the Puerto Rico's old town fort. It was really awesome and old!

Royal Carribean's Adventure of the Sea



They have tons of fun activites on the boat. Rock climbing, mini golf, ice skating, and of course gambling. Bingo!

Welcome to St. Lucia! Kory and I liked this island the most.





Kory and I were very happy to be scuba certfied at a time like this. We saw all kinds of awesome sea life and crazy coral. I had never seen a real sea horse, but now I can say I have. He was very cute!



My brother Steve and his Wife Tiffany are also scuba certified so we went diving together.



When we got to the island of St. Thomas we hopped on a ferry and went to St. John so we could go snorkel at Trunk Bay. I think this is one of the the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.



We had a fun time body surfing on the waves. Believe it or not, this is the same place as the picture above. It suddenly got cloudy and rainy so we didn't stay for too long.



Family at Cokie Beach


This picture is taken at Cokie Beach. There was a lot of great snokeling here. Kory and I did another dive near this beach and I held this weird creepy puffy cucumber worm thing that looked like a big rug.



We got off the cruise ship sunday morning and spent the day in Pueto Rico.


We hiked down though the rain forest and saw this awesome water fall.

We had a lot of fun and made some fun family memories that we will never forget. Thanks for the fun trip mom and dad!

Losing

Kory has recently signed up for a "Biggest Loser" type of program here in Utah at Open Court. His friend Mike lost over 30 pound doing their program. Kory signed up on September 15th and has been doing great with it so far. He goes everyday for an hour and works out with a trainer. He has a certain list of foods he can eat which is not strict really at all. Mostly fruits, veggies, lean meats, and pretty much anything else thats not greasy or sugar loaded. I have been very impressed with Kory's motivation. I have never seen him so motivated to loose weight like this. He is eating very healthy and has cut back on his portions. The thing I like most about this program is that it is very realistic and isn't something that can't be kept up. Some programs and diets are not realistic and can't be maintained for very long. Guess how much weight Kory had lost in only two weeks? Nope, even more! Kory has lost 12 pounds. I am very proud of him and his detirmination. The program lasts until December 15th and the person who has made the biggest change or has lost the most weight wins 10,000 dollars. Cool huh! Who knows, he might even win.

Since we've been home

It seems like we have been running around like crazy since we've been home. We started school 12 hours after we got home from California so that was a bit crazy trying to unpack and all. Then we decided to paint out family room and clean our carpets. Luckily we have been back for many fun events like Mike and Katie Woodward's baby shower,one of my best friend's bridal shower and wedding dinner, FHE with the whole Wallentine family, and so on!


Kory's early Birthday present!




Last summer Kory found out that the U of U's football team would be playing at "The BIG HOUSE." Kory's favorite team is Michigan so for a whole year he has been talking about wanting to go to this game. I never really thought he would go through with it. Sure enough, a few days before the game he booked a flight to Michigan. One of Kory's best friends Clint Mower, plays for the U of U so he was able to get Kory a free ticket on the front row.

Number 39 is Clint Mower. He is the long snapper for the University of Utah.




This stadium holds almost twice as many fans as BYU's stadium. (109 thousand?)I guess that's why they call it the big house!


I think Kory said this was called touchdown Jesus. Is that bad say?

Make a wish!




We had a labor day/ birthday party at the Owen's condo. I had no idea the kinds of stories these boys had from their high school days. OH BOY!



So about a year ago Kory won his fantasy football tournament so Carl Clegg ( chris clegg's dad) took Kory out to a restaurant called Ruth's Chris Steak house. Ever since that day Kory has mentioned Ruth's Chris to almost every person he knows. To surprise Kory for his birthday, I decided to take him to "Ruth's Chris." He told me it was expensive, but I had no idea! If you go, be sure to dress I little nicer than we did. Oops. I sort of look like a turtle here huh ;(



We highly recommend the sweet potatoes. They are really, really, really good! They were my favorite part of the meal.

We needed to get out of our house and enjoy the nice weather so we drove up the canyon and walked around cascade springs. If you haven't ever been here I recommend it. I always love to eat the water cress, but don't tell the rangers!

Our last few days in California

Kory has done an awesome job this summer. He has put a lot of time and dedication into managing his office and it has paid off! His office was the "Top Office" and sold more accounts than any other office in Stone Security this year. Kory worked really hard and ended up selling more than his goal. He even earned us a trip to Hawaii and a 42" flat screen tv. Good work!

The pool area has really nice BBQ grills so Kory decided to host his final correlation meeting at the pool and have a little BBQ. It was a fun way to celebrate the salesman's last day. Kory is "really" sad it's his last day knocking, I mean look at his face

We realized our recommends were about to expire so we made a quick drive at 5:00 in the morning to the Oakland temple to do a session.

Look, I had a baby while I was in California! Okay, not really. All of the wives of the sales guys got together to have a baby shower. It was so nice this year having more married couples out selling with us. It was nice having girls to hang around with for a change.
