Christmas Break

Kory and I had a wonderful Christmas break!

I love Christmas time because there is so much to do. We went to the festival of trees which I love doing. We also got to go see the lights at temple square with some for Kory's family that were in town from Florida and Logan.
We stayed Christmas Eve night at my parents house and spent Christmas day with my family. It's always so much fun to have my whole family together.
On the 28th we got to go to Hawaii for a week with all the guys in Kory's company who sold over a hundred security systems.

Every Christmas each member of my family makes a gift for another member in the family. It's always so fun to see what each person makes. Making gifts is one of my favorite family traditions. This year I made a picture frame out of old barn wood for my brother Clint. Thanks to my dad for helping me, I was able to make an awesome frame.

Kory got to make for our sister-in-law Tiffany. He decided to sew an apron. Kory did a great job thanks to sports sewing!

Our sister-in-law Jackie made Kory a batman wallet. She made it out of batman underware. If you are ever at our house you'll have to see it. It's so cool, it has compartments and everything.

My brother Tim made me an awesome copper frame with a mirror in the middle. It's a really pretty house decoration that I will have forever. I can't find a picture of it, I will have to take a picture and post it next time.

We went to the island of oahu and stayed on Waikiki. There were 24 of us there.

We snorkeled at Hunama Bay

Happy Thanksgiving

This year Kory and I celebrated Thanksgiving and my grandpa's 86th birthday at one big party in Herriman. There were 70 of us there. Wow! My mom did an awesome job planning and hosting this big celebration. Thanks mom for all your hard work.

Bye Jill and good luck on you mission! My best friend Jill just left for her mission. I'm so excited for her, it's something she has wanted to do for as long as I've known her. She will be serving in the Knoxville Tennessee Mission. I'm proud of her and know she will make a great missionary.

Christmas in October?

For Christmas last year my parents gave my family a cruise to the Southern Carribean. Since there were 14 of us that went, it took a lot of scheduling and planning to finally figure out a time we could all go. So...10 months later and here we are enjoying our Christmas present. We flew to Puerto Rico and stayed the night.

The next morning we went to the Puerto Rico's old town fort. It was really awesome and old!

Royal Carribean's Adventure of the Sea

They have tons of fun activites on the boat. Rock climbing, mini golf, ice skating, and of course gambling. Bingo!

Formal nights!

Welcome to St. Lucia! Kory and I liked this island the most.

Kory and I were very happy to be scuba certfied at a time like this. We saw all kinds of awesome sea life and crazy coral. I had never seen a real sea horse, but now I can say I have. He was very cute!

My brother Steve and his Wife Tiffany are also scuba certified so we went diving together.

When we got to the island of St. Thomas we hopped on a ferry and went to St. John so we could go snorkel at Trunk Bay. I think this is one of the the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

We had a fun time body surfing on the waves. Believe it or not, this is the same place as the picture above. It suddenly got cloudy and rainy so we didn't stay for too long.

Family at Cokie Beach

This picture is taken at Cokie Beach. There was a lot of great snokeling here. Kory and I did another dive near this beach and I held this weird creepy puffy cucumber worm thing that looked like a big rug.

We got off the cruise ship sunday morning and spent the day in Pueto Rico.

We hiked down though the rain forest and saw this awesome water fall.

We had a lot of fun and made some fun family memories that we will never forget. Thanks for the fun trip mom and dad!

Losing

Kory has recently signed up for a "Biggest Loser" type of program here in Utah at Open Court. His friend Mike lost over 30 pound doing their program. Kory signed up on September 15th and has been doing great with it so far. He goes everyday for an hour and works out with a trainer. He has a certain list of foods he can eat which is not strict really at all. Mostly fruits, veggies, lean meats, and pretty much anything else thats not greasy or sugar loaded. I have been very impressed with Kory's motivation. I have never seen him so motivated to loose weight like this. He is eating very healthy and has cut back on his portions. The thing I like most about this program is that it is very realistic and isn't something that can't be kept up. Some programs and diets are not realistic and can't be maintained for very long. Guess how much weight Kory had lost in only two weeks? Nope, even more! Kory has lost 12 pounds. I am very proud of him and his detirmination. The program lasts until December 15th and the person who has made the biggest change or has lost the most weight wins 10,000 dollars. Cool huh! Who knows, he might even win.
