A day off

I would like to announce to everyone that this is Kory making an apperence in the blogging world for the very first time. I have seen Marianne spend countless hours "posting" and reading other peoples blog, and after reading many "posts" myself, I felt that it was time to show everyone that I can do it as well.

We are having a lot of fun living and working in San Jose. My office here is staying very busy and doing very well. It is a lot of work to manage an office, but we couldn't ask for things to be going any better. As a company we take every other monday off from work and usually do some pretty fun things. We set a sales goal for our office for the month of May, and were successful in hitting that goal, so we decided to take off a Friday rather than Monday, and take the whole office out to a San Francisco Giants game. The game wasn't until Friday evening, so we went down to the beach in Santa Cruz before the game and had a lot of fun.

Marianne and I found some cool cliffs on the drive around Santa Cruz, we drove up Highway 1 and enjoyed some awesome views and found some great look out spots. Its fun to hike down into these little spots and see the huge waves crashing. We also saw some sea lions, or seals, or whatever they are swimming around.

We were at the beach with some of the sales guys and their wives and families. I got burried in the sand and then Marianne and the other decided to add certain features to me that made me into a sand woman. I let them have their fun even though I thought it was really really immature......ha ha.

While we were at the beach, me and one of my buddies rented a skim board and a boogy board. I wish I would have been able to take some pictures of Marianne boogy boarding, because she is actually really good at it. I think she is so good because she is so light and it is kinda like there isn't even anybody on the boogy board when she is riding it. Everytime I try to catch some waves, i usually just kinda sink and the waves pass me by. Oh well, we still had fun.

I love Sand Castles. I forgot how cool it is to make a sand castle. We spent a good amount of time on this one, and weren't even done when it was time to leave. One of these days we are going to get to the beach and I am going to spend all day making an awesome castle.

There is a pretty cool pier at the beach in Santa Cruz, we were able to go underneath the pier and look at a bunch of the sea lions that were just chillin on the wood underneath. We were seriously about 5 feet away from them. They are really loud, stinky and annoying.

After a fun day at the beach, we drove back home and cleaned of all the sand from our bodies and got ready to go up to the game. We were fortunate enough to see the San Francisco Giants play the Oakland A's in the Battle of the Bay. This is a picture of the stadium from the outside. AT&T Park is an awesome stadium with an swesome view of the bay from the inside.

You can see the the Bay beyond the right field bleachers. It is a cool stadium, but the weather in San Francisco at night is really cold. It is the middle of june, and everyone was buying hot chocolate at the game.

"Kory got into Stanford!"

Okay, actually both Kory and I got into Stanford! Yippy! Well, let me explain. Since we have until 1:00 each day before work starts, we are able to go exploring. One morning we used mapquest to find our way to Stanford University and it only took 20 minutes to get there. Once we got "into" Stanford, we took some to walk around the rather large campus. The buildings were very old and beautiful.

Don't worry, we will be returning in the fall to attend UVU!

We found a stadium and well.... you know Kory and sports. We had to take a glance!
