Turkey Day

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving a bit different than usual. My parents have a time share in Park City so we used our "share of time" over Thanksgiving week. We had a lot of fun...it's too bad there was no snow!
Happy Turkey Day! It was a great day for us, but not so great for the turkey :(

Thanks Mom and Dad for the great dinner!

This is our niece Savannah, she discovered the fun of olives!!!

Kory is really good at making new friends...
he even like to make friends with the hardest ones to get along with.

We invited some friends up to spend the night. We went out to dinner then headed to the hot tub for a quick dip. Little did we know the hot tub closed five minutes after we got there. The security gaurd came and kicked us out. We were pretty disappointed until we came up with the great idea of going back to the condo and smashing all six of us into a two man jacuzzi. Let's just say it was the best human puzzle ever made!
"A rub a dub just a splashin' in the tub, thinkin' everything was alright!"

As soon as we got home from Park City our tree was up and decorated. We had a lot of fun decorating our house and listening to Christmas music.
Good thing Kory is taller than me!
I love Christmas!! I can't wait.
This year we are going to Virginia to spend Christmas with Kory's family. His whole family is going to fly in to be there. Bub and Danielle from Logan, Ryan and Bethany from Las Vegas, Jenny and Alan from Florida, and Jaymes just got home yesterday form his mission in Oklahoma. The Longenecker family hasn't all been together since Kory's mission fairwell, more than 4 years ago. It's going be to be quite the reunion. We are really looking forward to it!

Happy Halloween
Kory and I dressed up as Toy Story Characters this year for Halloween! As you can see Kory was Mrs Potato Head and I went as Little Bo Peep. We ended up winning best overall costume!Rock on!
Dwight and Angela... i guess they're on the Office...?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...Ninja Power!

We played a game to see which husband could wrap their wife in one roll of toilet paper the fastest and if you know anything about my husband you know that he is very competative. So without saying anything more, we won with flying colors

I got a little carried away with the toilet paper again!

Jake and Bryton, what are you doing? :)

Eat, Eat, Eat, Eat, Eat!

This year we carved pumpkins in Herriman with the Dansie side. I carved a haunted house and Kory carved a bat.

"Flip That House"

Lately Kory and I have been watching a show called, "Flip that house." This show is on TLC and is basically filming people who buy old ugly houses and remodel them to"flip" them for a profit. The reason I mention this show is because it inspired us to flip a house. Okay, so we couldn't actually afford to buy and flip a house, so we thought we would it would be fun to redo our second bedroom instead. I wanted to have one reddish maroon wall and Kory wanted to paint the other walls a light grayish color. We headed down to our local home depot and bought our paint. Our "Hiking Trial" paint which we thought looked gray, actually turned out looking very purple on the walls. We gave it a day to dry hoping it would look more gray as time went on....24 hours later we invited some friends over to tell us what color they thought the walls looked. Without saying a word about the color being gray or purple we asked them what they thought. Two friends said it looked purple and another called it lavender. Disappointed with the color, we decided to buy some new paint and repaint the three walls again. We chose a tanish color and kept the maroon paint for the forth wall. After another day of painting we were finally finished and this time is wasn't purple!

Purple

Purple

Not So Purple

Despite our experience with crazy purple paint, we are very pleased with our final results and hope to one day really "flip" a house.

Happy 23rd Birhday Kory!

Well, it's been over 2 months since by last post and I'm sure you guys are sick of checking my blog to find the same ol same ol. Since my last post a lot has happened, but I'll just go over the basics. As most of you know by now, Kory and I are back in Utah. Kory had a successful summer and plans on managing next summer. We are both back in school going to UVSC. I am in the education program and have two years left. As for Kory, he also has two year to go in business and finance.
Kory had his 23rd birthday on September 3rd which also happened to be labor day. We had a birthday BBQ for him and Mike Woodward at a Park in orem. It was a lot of fun having so many of Kory's best friends together at one time!

I have to let you guys know that this BBQ grill is Kory's pride and Joy!(Besides me that is!) He talks to it as if it were a little baby:) Don't tell him I told though!

Happy 1st Anniversary !

Can you believe it? Kory and I have been married for over a year! For our first anniversary, we went and stayed a few nights at a nice hotel in Boulder. We spent the day at Rockie Mountain National Park which was very scenic. We hiked to Aspen falls where we took some fun pictures and managed to carve our initials into an aspen tree. I feel just a tad bit bad about carving into a tree, but it's something i have always wanted to do. So...if you are ever in Rockie Mountain National Park look for our initials!

The next day we went shopping on Pearl Street which is pretty much where everything a hippy would want and more is :) You will also find one of the coolest candy shops ever. Later that afternoon we headed up boulder canyon and found another awesome waterfall to hike to.

Colorado Rockies Game

Stone security was nice enough to take all of their sells men and their wives to a Colorado Rockies Baseball Game. We had a lot of fun and the Rockies even pulled out a win for us!

E.S.P Annual Vacation

Before coming out to Denver we came up with this great idea to go on an annual vaction with our friends. This was our first year and it was a blast. We all met up at the Green River for a rafting trip. The rapids were pretty scary and we almost lost Kory, but luckily he had his life preserver on! he he :) We also went to goblin valley where we played some hide an seek and hiked around. We all had alot of fun and hope to recruit more of our friends next year!

Presenting Kory and Marianne Longenecker

We are currently living in Denver Colorado. Kory is working for Stone Security selling ADT systems. He is doing very well so far. His goal for the summer is to sell 100 systems and by the looks of things....he will reach it :) As for me, well, I am working at The Home Depot where I have made some fun, but intresting new friends!
